What makes you think this is an Indian blend, Bram ?
LOL !
Niblick is the the name for some (wooden) golf club from the old days, and is better known as the number nine iron. Needless to say Machrihanish (Mull of Kintyre and close to Campbeltown) is well known for its famous golf course.
Cheers,

Hello whiskymates,
I just had my first dram of Niblick and I really like this blend a lot. Can any body from Springbank tell me what it consists of?

Hi, I'm just waiting on Frank to get back to me and I'll let you know what he has used to come up with the Niblick. It is, I am assured, a good dram.

Hi guys,
Just to save Frank going to the effort of answering Janet:
The Machrihanish Niblick is a blend of Springbank and Longrow with grain from Girvan. The blend contains 60% malt and 40% grain.
I've tried to get Frank to tell me the split between Springbank and Longrow but you know what these old whisky boys are like, they like to have their secrets so that we can't force them to retire |
